A mixture of everything...

 Hello Miss Maddie!!!!

These are my favorite...I will cherish seeing this little head pop up in the morning...no sound, just a look and a smile...is it time to get up yet Mom??  How about some milk?
And of course my little boxer...someone wants to do anything that Dad is doing!

And a great night out in celebration of 6 years!  A fabulous dinner and then off to the Cinema Pub for a showing of Bridesmaids with our good friends...a wee bit over dressed for the cinema pub!

The last few summer days...

September 10, 2005-- a day to remember!!  6 years later Jason was lucky enough to spend our anniversary on the same beach but with his two daughters!  I was jealous, of course, but they had a wonderful day with Grandma and Grandpa!
You've gotta love those baby blues!

I love this shot-- it is truly a beautiful beach....go Riley, go!

 Cool chicks in their sunglasses!

A break with Grandma and Maddie-- Grandma thought of everything-- even Riley's special chair!

Kisses from Dad are the best!!!

A trip to Old Saybrook-- The boys loved their job...baby sitting and shucking corn!  Just make sure the little one is up wind from those cigars boys!!

Unfortunately because of the hurricane Irene swimming was canceled...a beautiful day to play in the sand!  Are you cringing Sara?

I love this shot-- Miss Maddie will sleep just about anywhere if you let her!  A make shift crib out of a perfect fabric wagon!
To the fabulous couple expecting their first!  Jill you look GREAT!!
 Goomba, Oma Sue, and Riley--
 Great shot Oma Sue!
Those beautiful blue eyes...but this picture reminds me of Jason!

Riley playing with her favorite toy at the moment-- the birthday cake!  I don't know how many birthdays we have had, but man we are all getting old according to Riley!

Here's to you Irene!

Sunday brought with it rain and wind...thank you Irene!!!  We were hit with some pretty decent weather which knocked out our power for all of 6 hours-- nothing compared to some friends who went more than 5 days without power!

What to do without power?  How about a tea party!!!
Or perhaps sit on the front porch watching the storm roll through and the CRAZY people driving in it!  Man, that telephone pole sparked!!!

A little quality time with Dad....
 Love the serious look Jay!
And the best part of all-- my nemises....this tree would drop the WORST leaves in the fall, huge dark brown leaves and strange banana like seed packs.  In the spring it would house the ENTIRE neighborhood's bird population-- meaning I would have layers of bird poop on my car!

Thank you Irene for bringing the end to my nemesis and for being so kind as to swaying it away from the house and cars!!!!

The clean up crew-- yes this is during the storm!!!  Kudos!!!

A rainy morning at Spring Lake

Not only am I a very luck individual who has found the world's best daycare, but I have also become lucky enough to find some great Mom's too!  Heather and her boys were kind enough to share with us one of their favorite summer time locations-- Spring Lake!!!

It was great the watch the kids play and enjoy the water-- her two boys went right in- no questions, Riley on the other hand needed a bit more reassuring....

What a cool place-- slides in the lake, a dock, an arcade, and even a snack bar!!!

Maddie had a very rough day....sleeping!

 What cuties!!!!

We had a great time, despite dodging the rain drops at the end--  Thanks for a great day-- I am sure we'll see you there next summer!!

August = Berry Picking!!!

August means berry picking with the friends!  What a great location- we probably went a bit over board with our picking, but man were those good berries!
And someone was working on a belly ache pretty quick!

Of all the berries, blueberries and raspberries were her favorite!

Thanks for a great day!!!
