Our favorite walks...

We are lucky enough to live surrounded by close friends.  One of my dearest is a kind sole who puts up with my gardening craze, mexican love, and will share in that glass of wine after a long day of POOP!  On this day, she was kind enough to help me re-gain my sanity by going for a walk...Poopie Picasso had struck the two previous days and I was in dire need of some company as someone did not want to nap!

Kids Day- North Attleboro Celebration!

Kids Day is a celebration in North Attleboro MA that happens every year.  It is a great celebration that is put on by the North Attleboro Fire Fighters.  It starts with a carnival of rides, a parade of trucks, and ends with great fireworks!

 

Riley will have to get used to Dad being the go-to guy for rides-- although I will gladly jump out of an airplane, carnival rides just aren't my thing!

After the fun at the carnival it is off to Neighbor Dave's annual cookout and Bag-o tournament.

There is a great view of the fireworks on Falls Pond-- here is the crew that delivered the canoe to the pond for the viewing-- please notice the "Wicked Smart" shirt!!!

 Even a lawn-mower/ tractor ride for the kiddos!!!  Thanks Neighbor Dave!!!

 Someone was fascinated by the fireworks!!  On Dad's shoulders was the best viewing location.

The Purple Potty strikes North Attleboro!

On a Sunday afternoon while Jason was reading the local paper, he found a fabulous article on a fund-raising idea for the Relay for Life (a great cancer fighting event)...why not pay to have a purple potty delivered to those near and dear to you!!!  Of coures we jumped at the idea and added a few people to the list...thank goodness our friends have a sense of humor...or else we would be in trouble!

First, the Burdettes...I love this because at the time my girlfriend's Mother was at the house...there was some conversation that ensued..."Cara, something is being delivered in your front yard....um, no it is not being delivered to anyone buy you..."  Cara's text message was next..."thanx- now I can take care of business and direct traffic at the same time!!!" 

The next was a little close to home...my neighbor Dave...A great guy, but honestly I was a bit concerned that I didn't want to upset those too close to home.  The potty was delivered at 10am-- I eagerly awaited Dave to return home...which didn't happen until 8pm!!!  It was great- our neighbors all got pictures sitting on Sigman's front lawn! 

After a concerned phone call from me, asking if we could still be friends, his response was priceless-- "Stacie, I only wish I had thought of it first!"

The last appearance of the potty was at the O'Grady household-- which from my understanding was announced publicly during a conference call with a business ordeal with Cliff Bar!!!  Ooops!!!  Unfortunately I did not get a picture of it as they were eager to pass along the throne!

The Play area is done!

Ah, the work in the back yard never ends...  My wonderful Mother-in-law and Father-in-law are truly amazing and have given us a wonderful garden to tend this summer!  Thank you!

So left to my own thoughts, I always have projects running through my head...this one was suppose to be a weekend ordeal...yeah, right...I guess we tend to get into more than we think...I guess I did not take into account leveling and "plumbing??" out the stakes...oops!

 What?  No relaxing time!  Come on!
