Truly Lucky...

As I struggle to get through a Monday I know I always have something bright to look forward to.  Mondays are Grandma and Nana night!!!  YEAH!  Not only is Riley spoiled and held and walked/chased throughout the evening-- but I get to take a night off.  Grandma and Nana LOVE to entertain - with new books and new games and even a blast at bath time-- I get the night off!

After a quick trip to the gym or even getting chores done around the house, Grandma and Nana ensure the toys are already away for the night and the dishes are already done.  I feel like I am one of the luckiest to enjoy an amazing Monday night.

Tonight was another fabulous night-- with an added bonus...My amazing Mother-in-law walks in with a FANTASTIC lemon-meringue pie!!!  I am in heaven!  Last week she brought a few slices to share with the family-- after a few giggles, I admitted my sharing knowledge could use some refreshing...tonight, I got a WHOLE PIE!  I am truly thankful and lucky to have such great people in my life.  Thank you Mary and Grandma D!

Just catching up...

It has been a great summer that has flown by-- watching Riley grow!

Enjoying cookout's with Grandma, Grandpa, and Nana-- they always have the coolest toys to play with!

Meeting up with Oma Sue and Goomba-- thanks for taking me to the park!
WOW!!!  Look at all the slides they have!!!

Really Dad-- are you taking me up this slide?  You realize you are making Mom nervous....

What a great summer!!!  Did I mention Mom LOVES the pig-tails???

Our fun little park...

We are lucky enough to live very close to two small, cheap parks-- when it is nice out-- we move it!

 Someone LOVES the slides!

They even have lions!  Pretty cool!

 Someone is contemplating the sign...hummm...
No- Mom, I don't want to feed the goats...no, no, NO!

 I will do it myself!

Bye, Bye!!!

Why I love my daycare....

Somehow, I was lucky enough to find a wonderful person to take care of Riley while I tackled teaching 8th grade math...I was truly lucky to find such a wonderful and special daycare provider-- even one with similar views as me!!!  Over the summer time the entire daycare was invited to tour the Norfolk Aggie where the husband to our daycare provider works.  What an amazing trip and everything I want Riley to learn about!

Here she is-- she is absolutely amazing-- she can even hold 2 kids at once and manage the rest of the crew at the same time!
Here is the entire gang outside the horse paddocks.  She even packed snacks, drinks, and a change of diapers for each munchkin!  She has it down to a science!
 Ah...the little piggies...
 They were Riley's favorite!

We even got a tour of the small animals and the reptiles!  It was awesome!

 Chinchilla anyone?
A hedgehog-- up close and personal!  I cannot thank them enough-- everyone at daycare is truly amazing-- we are so lucky!

Clark Family Trading Post

Thank you Sara for sharing with me the new way to upload pictures!!!  Hopefully this will be the start of a fresh blog with more recent pictures...

To get started with-- this August (I know a while ago) we went to New Hampshire with our friends to spend a weekend of relaxing...and Clark's Family Trading Post...an adventure for sure!

Lexy was kind enough to share some of her toys with Riley-- as she was enthralled with all the cool stuff she had!
The two of them got along swimmingly!
And of course the boys loved the ping-pong table in the basement!

Dad and Riley outside the entertainment...I had to swallow my inner liberal and watch these cute bears perform-- Mom, Dad, you would be proud of me, I didn't try to release them into the wild!

Riley had my same sentiments...really?  Those bears belong in the woods!

The end of a great weekend-- Thanks guys!
